shared and dedicated network

Pls what is the difference between shared and dedicated network?Pls be detail.

What are the inherent advantages and disadvantages ?

Shared Network - Available bandwidth is shared between different sites. Eg- Frame-relay would be a good example of this kind.

Dedicated Network - Bandwidth is completely dedicated between two sites[point- point] . Leased lines would be an example of this.
