Is there a way to dump the config file to a config file just like routers and switches?

A Sourcefire appliance like a (3D7100 series running Firepower OS) can be backed up from the managing FMC.

You cannot just dump the configuration from the cli (in any holistic sense - you may be able to get specific bits of information if you know exactly what you're looking for).

Hi @Mikeham804,

Is it a Sourcefire appliance or a Firepower appliance?

I think there is no way to do it. you have to do it manually. may be i am wrong. let see what other suggest.

He is not asking to capture traffic, but to take a config backup :-)

It is however paussible to get a running-lina-config from CLI if running a Firepower appliance.

But the Sourcefire appliance can be backed up from the FMC as Marvin mentioned. :-)
