To replace ASA 5510

Hi,

We plan to replace ASA 5510 to new model.

Is it ok if we change to 5516-X.

The model 5516-X compulsary to buy with firepower module ?

What is the estimate lifetime for this model.

Hi, 

 

you can go with either 5516 or even 5508, all depends on the performance you need. If your 5510 never got overloaded with traffic, even 5508 will do fine.

The product was released in Aprli 2015, so you can rest assured that support will be avavilable for the next 4-5 years at least
