I
need to be able to monitor a device behind a firewall, what I normally do is create a 1:1 using a private IP on the outside to the private IP on the inside, and our monitor can do its thing. However, this does not work when the device needs internet access.  If I just do a PAT for snmp and snmp-trap I cant ping the device, I need all 3, so how can I do it so I can ping it without the 1:1 translation?

Hello,

You can't configure static PAT for ICMP traffic because ICMP doesn't have the concept of ports like TCP and UDP does. Static NAT is your best bet to cover all 3 cases.
