Hi.

most likely you don't have enough free memory. while the pix is downloading the image it needs to buffer it in RAM before it writes it to disk. so if you don't have a single contiguous block of free memory enough to hold the whole image being downloaded, then this will fail.

i recommend either disabling some pix features temporarily until the image can be downloaded then re-enable those features, or reload into rommon mode and download the image from there.

let me know if this answers your question.

Regards,

Fadi.

Thanks For Your Suggestion ,

before disabling i want to know some detail information about those Features, and which features can i disable.

kindly suggest and i am attaching "sh process mem" output.

Thanks & Regards,

Raffath

Hi.

your memory utilization is pretty high!!, only 3% left, if you are not upgrading due to a memory leak issue, you should start planning on upgrading your memory or hardware. you are very close to running out of memory.

for now, try disabling snmp and/or ipsec. if that doesn't help, try lowering the amount of connections handled by the pix (you can deny ranges of subnets with an acl on the pix etc..). all of this temporarily until you can upgrade.

Regards,

Fadi.
