Hi,
Today I tried to upgrade our SSM module from version 5.0(2)S152.0 to 6.0.3, but this fails.
I receive an error telling me that I'm running out of disk space, which is in fact correct.
How can I cleanup the disk?
Once after a reboot, the disk became free. I upgraded via the IDM (to try an other way) over FTP. It stopped after a while with an error, and my disk again was full..
The file transfer itself was very slow (around 8Kbit). Any ideas on this?
Last question, in version 6 is there the ability to use syslog?
Can anyone help me?
Thanks a lot.
Regards
Koen

Your device's disk space is getting full because probably there are a lot of logs or database or messages it is configured to store locally. You should either not store these messages or divert them to another server. You can use syslog in almost any version of the software.

Hi,
The upgrade finally succeeded. We needed to upgrade the passive device, then do a failover of the firewall in order to upgrade that device.
Concerning the syslog, it doesn't seem to be possible. Only SNMP traps are possible I think. I read somewhere that it is not possible to send the logs to a SNMP/syslog server.
