URL Rule When IP Changes

Hi,

A customer of mine is facing a problem with his firewall. He create a URL rule for some cloud applications, but when the cloud IP chages, the applications stop working.

I'd like to know if the Fire Power has the capability to create a URL rule that can keep the applications working even when the IP cloud changes

This is a challenge with URL rules and could-based services with shifting IP addresses.

The best you can do is minimize the potential impact by:

a. making sure your FMC uses the same DNS server(s) as your clients

b. setting your DNS timeout lower to force lookups to happen more frequently and not hold cached entries as long.
