Core Issue
The show ip nat translations command only shows entries under inside local and inside global.
Resolution
The only way to determine if a translation is static or dynamic is to issue the show ip nat translations [verbose] command.
If the flag shows static
, it is a static translation, as shown in this example:
flags: static, extended, extendable, use_count: 0
Otherwise, the partial entry is a dynamic entry, which is most commonly seen with Domain Name System (DNS) traffic.
