CLI Error

alll
Level 1
Level 1

I've been attempting to upgrade the signatures on my sensors and have been running into walls. I am continuously receiving this error:

An error occurred while running the update script on the sensor named XXXXXids1. Detail = CLI Error: "The host is not trusted. Add the host to the system's trusted TLS certificates."

I tried this fix and it still doesn't work:

cd c:\progra~1\cscopx\mdc\apache

gencert.bat c:\progra~1\cscopx\mdc\apache

Stop CiscoWorks Daemon Manager, start CiscoWorks Daemon Manager.

NOTE: This will generate a new Apache SSL certificate that is good for 1 year. If you want longer, edit gencert.bat and replace the '365' at the end of the batch file with something bigger ('3650' will give you about 10 years).

The IP address of my VMS box is in the access list so I'm not sure what's going on.

You may be hitting this bug (http://www.cisco.com/cgi-bin/Support/Bugtool/onebug.pl?bugid=CSCsa10076&Submit=Search).

Even if your IP address is not one of the forms mentioned, check the config files listed for the right IP address, and change it if necessary. Restart CiscoWorks afterwards and you should be good.
