FWSM-same interface issue

Dear Sirs,

Got problem with FWSM.

It seems to be the issue documented in

The explanation in the above link is not clear to me. Since our FWSM is in production,before enabling the command

"same-security-traffic permit intra-interface", I would like to know the reference scenario where you enable the command.

PIX will process the L2 frame but drop the packet since the L3 address belongs to the interface it was received on.
