Multiple network address/route setup

Hi,

I am currently using NAT with a PIX 506E in my network. I have 192.168.1.x addresses being translated to real IP addresses. I have to setup a server on my network that has a completely different network address. I have unsuccessfully attempted to add new routes to the PIX to act as a gateway for this other network address. Is this possible with this PIX? Any direction would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Erik

Hi,

If i understand you correctly you are trying to connect a new network range to the inside interface of a PIX with only 2 interfaces?

If this is the case you need to configure your PIX/switch to trunk dot1q VLANs. Your existing network (192.168.1.x) being in one VLAN and your new server being in another VLAN.

Have a look at the following link, it looks like you can configure 2 logical VLANs on a 506 and you need to be running code version 6.3
