Hi
I have a sql server inside and a webserver in the dmz. I want to access sql from inside and outside via web server on dmz interface. I need to have internet access in dmz web server but for the inside LAN the internet access must be through different ADSL line. How do I do this route diversion?
The following is my configuration
PIX Version 6.3(4)
interface ethernet0 auto
interface ethernet1 auto
interface ethernet2 auto

nameif ethernet1 inside security100
nameif ethernet2 dmz security4

what i understand from this is that you have the webserver on the dmz and sql server on the inside. you want users on the inside to access the webserver from inside using the url and the outside public on the internet also be able to access the dmz webserver from the internet. You want internet access on the dmz and the inside network as well. but you only want the web server on the dmz to access the inside sql server.
If i understand you correct, please send me the details of the ip address and the port no, so that i can send you the correct commands to be issued on the pix firewall.
I need the inside sql server's private ip address, DMZ's webserver's private ipaddress. Also let me know if you are using the ISP DNS server to get to the internet or you also have you inside DNS server. Tell me the SQL port no that need to be access from the dmz webservers.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
Thanks & Regards,
Harish Tandon
