Introduction
This document explains configuring AD user as ISE GUI admin.
Components used - ISE 1.3 and Win2008 AD.
Background Info- To ease administrator overheads and manage network efficiently it is required to delegate some specific task to support staff . To achieve this ISE offers various preconfigured Admin Groups/roles allowing access permission to specific menu or tabs.
Requirements
Before setting it up make sure ISE is connected to Active Directory.
Step1 Create admin user
Step:2 Check External check box make it a shadow user. Password field is not required as it will be checked against AD. Assign user to MnT admin group
Step 3 Create user in AD
Step 4 Verify user shows up in MnT Admin Group. Check Type External if group authorization is needed on the basis of active directory user group.
Step 5 Login to ISE using AD as identity source.
Step 6 Access permission for Operations tab.
