Hello,
We have 2 cisco Fiber channel SAN switches (9132T) & both are in production now, as different fabric. Now we are planning to make both switches as single fabric.
Zoneset on both san switch is with same name : FabricA
Vsan name : vsan 100
Do we need to create any port channel or it will create by default once ISL connectivity is done.
If we do the ISL b/w the 2 switches are there any chance of we lose the zones, or it will be merge automatically.
Do we need to consider any other ?
Please help us with suggestions and inputs.
Thank you

Hi @marce1000 ,
Good Day!
Thank you for the inputs.
So in this case zones in switch1 and zones in switch 2 will merge automatically. I can see a sentence "Existing switch will share zoning data with new switch across ISL link for each vsan that is trunked".
In my case both switches are different with two different configurations, only the names zoneset and vsan are similar.
Switch 1:
Zoneset : FabricA
Vsan name : vsan 100
------
Switch 2:
Zoneset : FabricA
Vsan name : vsan 100
We have 6 zones in switch 1 and 8 zones in switch 2, after making the ISL connectivity, all 14 zones can see on both switches without production disturbance?
Thank you.

- Normally yes , but because of the potential business and production impact have this confirmed through TAC (ticket) for example , or a Cisco Engineer , or local cisco partner contacts. That is better for having an authoritative framework (replies) on the needed info's
