I have a 9124 fiber switch and need assistance with the configuration. The switch is connected to two host servers and on the other end a tape storage device. I have two fiber cards on one host and one fiber card with two ports on the other hosts. The tape device has two controllers with two ports each. On the tape unit device controller 3 has 4 drives attached, controller 4 has 3 drives attached. Can anyone shed some light as to how create the zone/zoneset configuration for this environment? Anything would help.
you did not describe your configuration, what backup application are you running, are you going to do "LAN-Free" backups ? Zoning alone is simple but we need to understand more of what you are trying to do.
