Can anyone tell me if/how I can run just a single stateful session for a baseline with Trex?

I am using Trex for performance testing of a FW/IPS device and I would like to know the time it takes the DUT to open and close a single session.  I'm planning to use that to calculate the expected throughput to compare to the Trex measured throughput.  Any suggestions are appreciated.

Similar problem here. I would like to generate the perf data for the single port.  But Trex (dpdk-setup-ports.py -i) allows a minimum of 2 ports to generate the .yaml configuration file. 

Does Trex have the support to generate the single port performance data? or is it a limitation in Trex. ?
