Installation of QLE2692 Dual-port 16G FC on a UCSC-C220-M5SX

I am going to install new QLE2692 Dual-port 16G FC on our UCSC-C220-M5SX servers. My question is "which PCIe slots is best to install them on one or two and I cannot find any post installation steps to ensure I did the install correctly and updated.
