Cisco Model DPC 3216, I want to sign in with the 2.4 GHz. How?

English simple terms please. I want to connect my outdoor timer for wifi but must be connected to the 2.4 GHz. (not 5)any help appreciated. I have called Cisco 3 times, been transferred to Link-x or something, tried my internet company.TIA!
