new sup720 drops into rommon mode. config reg is 2102 and boot system command points to right image located in sup-bootflash:

Looks like your correct...show rom slot 5 sp shows invalid. So looks like I'll being doing an rommon image.Thanks for all the help.RegardsChuck

that what my config looks like, except that on the booth system command I include the file name.
