I tried to configure my modem for loopback mode however line protocol is still down. Change another router and line protocol goes up (looped) same config. Need to know how to veriy that the serial interface is indeed defective.

Hello ankur,thank you very much do i have to ping the serial 0 on the cli of the router . also if i type show controllers s0 i should be getting the clock rate coming from the modem?
