We are trying to migrate several hundred symbol wireless scanners from a Symbol AP system to our managed Cisco network. The scanners do NOT use any bandwidth while not in use to conserve battery, ergo when the session timeout is reached they are dis...
Our wireless network has gone through several changes over the past year. We now only have 3 wlans. I usually created AP templates and enable WLAN override to select which APs get which wlans. WCS does not however seem to be updating with the WLCs...
We use several (80) wireless bootp devices in our network. They of course have been running great on autonomous APs but refuse to work on our WLC wlans. I did a packet capture on the vlan only to find that the wlc 4404 is retagging the bootp packet...
I need to add about 160 client MACS for wireless access. What is the quickest way to do this? Add to ACS and then radius the wlc's to point to that list or create the list on each WLC. I ask because I am unaware of any bulk way on the 4404 or 4402...
There was no real fix for my problem, I did find a work around however. I ran a packet capture on the ethernet side of the wireless APs. What I found was the multicast was only being generated by a few of the APs (8 of 140ish). I changed the prima...
These alarms cease if broadcast SSID is disabled on the wlan. This is not a workable solution for us since the wlan is a public/free network. Anyone come up with anything else? I couldn't find a signature definition to delete either.

That's not quite my problem, we are already running v. 4.1.185.0User idle timeout is set at 300 on the controller, Session timeout within the WLAN config is at 0, Client exclusion disabled. The wireless client losses it's connection and instantly reco...
