have roughly 25 pcs, dell with wireless 1450 usb adapter. periodically random PC's signal drops to 2Mbs and no packets transvers, and internet is lost. network connections still shows connection to AP. Have contacted Dell and been told to look at AP....
I have multiple ap's in a library, all settings left to defualts(mostly) POE, primary antenna only, random clients lose connection and cannot see ap and have to be re-added by local admin before they will see ap again. any suggestion??more info??
further info: wireless windows configuration is on, advanced settings set to any avialable network and nonpreffered net on auto, powersaves off, ap's us a ssid but are not encrypted no wep, ap's have to be added to the wireless networks via the prope...
periodically the pc's lose the ap and lose connection. but as soon as you login to admin it picks it back up and you can then lob out, log back into generic accounts and it will work. its almost as if the ap is being cached in the pc and is timing ou...
the wireless service on the machine is ran through windows and i have to add the ap becuz we use ssid, so it has to be added through the wireless network tab in properties of net conn.
