I have set up ntp on my 6509's and they are retrieving time from the atomic clocks on the internet. I am now tring to synchronize one of my 4000's from the 6509's, but it won't update. the config is as follows:ntp source Vlan248ntp server 10.235.251....
I am having the same problem. I followed the link and the document says "A link in a VTP domain is not set to trunk. There are devices in this domain that do not communicate through any trunk." I have checked the devices and they are set up to trunk....
The switch is running Cat OS but the msfc is running IOS. Your post caused me to look in a new direction. I set up ntp on the msfc and set it to be master. I then changed the config in the 4000 to get the time from the msfc and it synchronized.Thanks...
