hi,i installed yesterday 2 new switches in one ofour buildings; a cat2948G (trunked via 2/49 toa cat3508xl, 2/50 goes to a cat3550-xl) and acat2950-24 (trunked via 100/full to 2/48 on the2948G). both switches are in the campus vtp domain,but the 2948...

hi,problem solved the problem was, that it seems that the 2948g sends uncorrect or whatever summary requests; i just increasedthe conf revision on the vtp server (created a vlan & deleted it),*pling* 2948G got updated. funny funny.but thanks for you...

hi gp,i just tried it, yes, it is possible to set vtp v2when the switch is in transparent mode, it will alsostay in v2 when i reconfigure to vtp client, but theproblem still exists; seems like it cannot see anysummary advertisements...sw10> show vtp ...

on the cat6k switch, the trunk ports to the pix dont havespantree portfast enabled; spanning-tree tooks up to45secs, in this time no layer3 (aka ip) traffic isrunning.also, is 5/9 native vlan set to 150? i see only 5/7,which goes to pix2/et3. and if ...
