I'm on the latest version of hostscan and the issue is now resolved on MacOS version 26.6.2 (Aug 16th). If you upgrade to that release, it should resolve the CPU spikes.

I see what's going on. I had "open with rosetta checked" from the info menu. I swear it must of enabled it by default because I never checked the box myself. I can see that hostscan and secure client are "Apple" and not "Intel" now.
