I am facing the same issue with 9800 running on the 17.12.6a version , we just lose connection to the core switch even though the link is showing up on both sides , bouncing the interface does not help.Did anyone find a solution for this
Thank you @Rich R for your response.I just wanted to note that in the workaround they mentioned that only rebooting the 9800 will solve the issue while we noticed that bouncing the uplink interface on the Core switch side also solves the issue.
