We have HDS storage arrays here and they use F mode when logging into the switches. I can't see anywhere you can change the Login Mode for the array. If it does live anywhere it might be on the SVP.
I thought you could run any command using "Scheduler"?I can run tftp to my workstation from the switches without the need to supply a password, is the tftp share setup for Anonymous access?
The only way to backup is via the CLI, using the Scheduler and then setup a Schedule for when you want to run it.See the MDS cookbook section 1-14 command scheduler for more details. Cheers.
What about trying to Debug what is going on when you are trying to copy the file.From the CLI run "debug system health bootflash" and then "no debug system health bootflash" when you are finished. That should tell you what is going on.
