Hi I would like to connect to a 1Gb routed uplink, and then impose bandwidth limits (via shaping/policing/whatever) on a per port basis. The ports could either be configured to route, or as switchports on separate VLANS. I'm trying to identify hardware that will let me do this. The set up I have in mind is shown below. I am wondering if the IP Services Adv software on that switch will allow that functionality? If not, can anybody suggest alternative hardware? Cheers!

Hi I'm trying to identify a Cisco router that will give 300+Mbps through a 1Gb WAN port. I think the 1921 can get up to around 300Mbps with the onboard RJ45 ports, but are there any other/better suitable models? There's no need for any other particular functionality or feature set, the routers aren't doing anything fancy or unusual - it's the achieved throughput that's important. Cheers

Hi I am having a strange problem on my network, where traffic that is incoming from my internet uplink behaves as if it is being shaped. After it hits about 60Mbps, it drops right down - sometimes to as low as 300k, although usually somewhere in the 2 - 10Mb range. I can confirm that the internet supplier is sending all of the traffic, and if I ssh onto router (a 7201) and check the interface I can see from the rx/load that all traffic is being received into the interface - it seems like it's just not being passed on. I've attached a graph, below, to illustrate this. I can confirm the link is 1000Mbps, full duplex and showing no errors. Neither I nor the internet supplier are doing any traffic shaping. Can anybody offer any guidance? I can post more details, configs, spec, etc, if need be. Cheers
