I have answered my own questions... This confiuration does work without a GSS. Just be sure to point the NS record at the correct IP .. lol I am now trying to work out the other intangibles. thanks anyways.

We are currently about tot experience the same problem. Is there an interim patch for succession 3.0? Is the only option then to upgrade to succession 4.0/4.5 ?
