I'm trying to delete vtp domain from a pair or 4500x running VSS . I tried erasing the VLAN.dat file , but after the switches reload the VLAN configs are still not erased including VTP domain. Anyone has any idea how to erase the vlan configs ? 4500...

I had to delete the configs to remove the vtp domain command. Not sure why we cant remove it from the running configs. I'm not sure if this is a bug . Anyway Thanks for your help Guys!!!

Hi Jon, It is in the running config but i cant seem to remove it from there . As i mentioned earlier the " no vtp domain" commands doesn't works. 4500XA(config)#no vtp domain ^% Invalid input detected at '^' marker. -Tej

I'm trying to remove the VTP domain . I configured it for testing but since I'm adding these switches to production I don't need this setting. Tej

Hi Guys, I tried deleting the vlans manually and erased the vlan.dat file and then performed the " redundancy reload shelf" . The VLANs are gone but the vtp domain still exists. " no vtp domain " command doesn't works. Any suggestions. Tejinder
