Yes, GUI with openssl. Root, Intermediate, Device cert. For me at least, that what I needed. I don't know if my controller is dumb or if it's just me, but I could not get two intermediates to work. Once I got just one from my CA, it worked.
With one intermediate certificate yes, but with two, this is not the case. When I got a new certificate and one intermediate from my CA, it worked. I could never get it to work with two.

So I wasn't able to figure it out, I was however able to get my CA to give me a cert with just one intermediate and that fixed my issue. I will reboot the controller tonight to fully switch everything over. Thanks to everyone that helpped with this...
