We have experienced the exact same issues, Layer 3 seems to come back to life after several minutes. TAC has always told me to be patient. I have not found a work around.

Maybe a silly question, if clients can associate to a non root bridge then what makes bridges secure?? I am aware of limiting associations via mac, and limiting the number of associated radios, SSID and WEP, anything else?
