Sorry for the confusion about the router.I just meant that to say that I have an existing LAN which uses an AASA and the SG300 switch (.30 subnet). The task is to add an additional subnet (.40) and use the 1921 router to add this subnet.

I think I just got lost, sorry.I am not sure whether to dig further into what you just (and learn) or to just ask how to add an additional subnet to an existing lan, with the requirement that you would add/use an additional router for it.
