I found it. You absolutely, positively must specify the codec in the router'sdial-peer towards the CCM7 server. Failure to do so results in MTP somehow not working.Hope this helps others ...
Gateway has MRGL assigned. Disabling MTP required makes everything work (hold, xfer, etc..) but I do not get MOH on the remote peer when put on hold by the ccm7 phone - i get hold tones instead.
