I'd like to set up some simple devices to perform automated speed testing. By setting up a handful of devices inside a large site where we have WiFi deployed, we could schedule the devices to automatically perform speed tests every 15 minutes or so. ...
Band Select, "Acceptable Client RSSI". Is the RSSI in this parameter the RSSI measured from the 2.4GHz or 5GHz? Is it the signal the client measures from the AP, or the signal that the AP measures from the client? (I assume AP measures from client).A...
Tried doing some searches but cannot find anything... If you are designing a WiFi system in a building that already has a system (independent to your new system), how much separation between APs should you have? ie. How close can/should you put your ...
I've read a lot and watched the recent webinar, but I still have a few questions:1) During and Event Driven RRM "The channel change is not random. It is picked based on device contention, thus it is an intelligent alternate choice.". Could you...
It seems that the only difference between the 1260 and the 3500 is the CleanAir capability. But what is the difference between the 1140 and the 1260? The only thing I can find is that the 1140 supports OfficeExtend. wIs there any hardware differences...
Some comments which may help Steve:1) We have noticed the same thing with the Fluke Aircheck (vs CPI / WLCCA)2) Make sure you are looking at both WiFi and non-WiFi channel utilization with the Spectrum tool (which you probably are using a spectrum to...
You can also try making sure you are using channel 149-161 or 36-48. (I believe you said you are using the a/n band (5GHz)). Some devices may not work on all channels, it's rare but happens (even my smart phone had that problem with my home router).
Well at least you now know the ethernet bridging is set up and working right. What model APs are your RAP and MAP?What model is your Switch? What ports are you using in your switch? Can you try another switch (same or differnet model)? Perhaps the switc...
Staggering APs can potentially when help with small area of low coverage could be covered by an AP on an adjacent floor rather than adding another AP on the deficient floor. Perhaps some designs are done to minimize the # of APs, and cross floor cove...
For troubleshooting you can try connecting your ethernet directly to the mesh AP (without the switch). If the RAP is a 1552C you have to make sure to configure the internal modem to handle enough IP addresses (I know this is /has been an issue for us)...
