Welcome @sanwwj , Good to see Cisco giving attention to the APJ region too and now I am sure me and members like me who are from the APJ region will be able to join more events as it will suit our timezone.
There is no way to hide it however you can drag and drop the bar in the right hand or left hand corner so as it is actually not coming up while you are opening or closing an app.
