What is the communication protocol between the CP-8945 and CUCM for research in Corporate Directory?

I know that CUCM can synchronize contact information with any LDAP server, then the ip phones can get this information from CUCM.

But what is the communication protocol between the ip phone (cp-8945) and CUCM to exchange directory information contacts?
