this is a problem the hardware. should be request RMA.

Your AP is in lightweight mode or mobility express mode, and what file do you use for the upgrade?

this output was the access point  on 1800 mobility express and maybe other models for ran in mobility express could have the same issue, when try does upgrade.

in this case  I try to upgrade in 3 different ways

1.- archive download-sw /reload tftp://100.113.96.9/ap1g4

2.- archive download-sw /reload tftp://100.113.96.9/ap1g4-k9w8-tar.153-3.JF9.tar

3.- archive download-sw /reload tftp://100.113.96.9/AIR-AP1850-K9-8-5-140-0.tar

here, let us other similar output.

I found this documentation about AP 1850 and cotain the procedure to manage the AP to run Mobility Express or CAPWAP.

The key of this procedure is verify if the "show version" display

-AP Image Type:

-AP Configuration: NOT MOBILITY EXPRESS CAPABLE

These value determine the steps.
