はじめに
本ドキュメントでは、'write erase' と 'factory-reset all' コマンドによる、
C9800 の設定初期化の動作例を記載しています。
動作環境は以下となります。
Hardware : C9800-80
Software Version : 17.3.1
'write erase' での初期化
’write erase' コマンドにより、NVRAM の設定ファイルが削除されます。
C9880#write erase
Erasing the nvram filesystem will remove all configuration files! Continue? [confirm]

Erase of nvram: complete
設定ファイルを削除した後、再起動を実行すると設定が初期化された状態で起動します。
C9880-D#reload

注意点
'write erase' 実行時に、起動するイメージを指定する 'boot system' の設定も合わせて削除されます。
例えば Install Mode の場合は、'boot system bootflash:packages.conf' が削除されます。
そのため、初期化し起動した後は再度この設定を実施する必要があります。
WLC(config)#boot system bootflash:packages.conf
bootflash 内に Install Mode と Bundle Mode 双方のイメージが保存されており、
この 'boot system' の設定がない場合、予期せず WLC が Bundle Mode で起動することがあるため、
予め Bundle Mode イメージを削除するか、'boot system' の設定を実施することが必要となります。
'factory-reset all' での初期化
'factory-reset all' コマンドでは、nvram に保存されている設定ファイルだけではなく、
ログ情報や利用していないイメージファイルも削除されます。
例えば、17.3.1 の Install Mode で動作しており、
bootflash 内に、起動時に利用していない Bundle Mode イメージが保存されている場合、
起動時に利用している 17.3.1 の Install Mode イメージのみ保持され、
Bundle Mode イメージについては削除されます。
WLC#factory-reset all
The factory reset operation is irreversible for all operations. Are you sure? [confirm]
The following will be deleted as a part of factory reset:
1: All writable file systems and personal data
2: OBFL logs
3: Licenses
4: Userdata and Startup config
5: Rommon variables
6: User Credentials
The system will reload to perform factory reset.
This operation can take anywhere between 30 minutes to 3 hours
DO NOT UNPLUG THE POWER OR INTERRUPT THE OPERATION

Factory reset will take a backup of the boot image if the system is currently booted from an image stored locally. If the current boot image is a remote image or stored on a usb/nim-ssd, please take a backup of the image before executing this command.

注意点
* 実行時のメッセージに記載されているように、'write erase' コマンドと比較して完了までに時間がかかります
* 以下のような既知不具合が報告されていますので、この不具合の修正バージョンでのご利用をお願いします。
