Hi,
I'm trying to install APIC on a UCS C240M4 and I keep getting this error message. I don't have a VIC 1225 installed in the server but I have a VIC 1227 installed. Can I use the VIC 1227 instead of the VIC 1225? See attached file for error message.
Thank,
Scott

Hi Scott,
unfortunately you can’t just install the APIC software on any UCS-C series server. To be able to install this software you have to have a server with the APIC PID programed on the hardware.
The error that you see is telling you that the installation software is unable to validate with TPM that this a real “APIC” this done to prevent from “fake” servers to be use as APICs.
