Hallo,
we have PTP enabled within the ACI fabric, and one of the spines has taken over the grandmaster role.
Now we have an external ptp grandmaster reachable via ethernet and I'd like the ACI fabric to use this clock instead of the spine.
However I don't find any documentation on how to do that. Does anyone know how to do this?
Regards

Hi pille1234!
Disclaimer: I might be mistaken and my intel is abut one year old so there might have been progress.
To my knowledge you cannot do that. You also cannot make use of PTP on server facing ports if your end systems could make use of PTP information. What Cisco told us in 2018 was PTP is only used internally for latency analysis. Not external clock, no external output.

Hi,
afaik in a single fabric only a Spine Switch can act as a grandmaster clock.
