Hi all,
i just installed on our server the ACISim 5.0-2h.
As you can see from the attachment i correctly provided the OOB IP address, the GW, and put the Interface on Eth1 VLAN85 (where other VMs have their mgmt interface and i correctly reach, including the MSO VM that i wanted to use to interact with ACISim - APIC - to experiment the REST API).
Do you have any suggestions why i cannot ping the ACISim?
Besides, on vmWare, no IP address results assigned to ACISim VM...
Thanks,
Mario

Hi Mario,
Since you didn't put a picture for it, I'm guessing that you didn't do that most important step of putting the portgroup for the vSwitch in promiscuous mode.
If it doesn't look like this
Then that's your problem!
See Step 2 of the install guide .
Step 1
Download the Open Virtualization Appliance (OVA) file.
Step 2
Enable Promiscuous Mode on the VMware vSwitch to which the simulator is connected. In the WMware vSphere Web Client, navigate to host > Configuration > Virtual Switches and select the switch and click the Edit icon. In the vSwitch Properties dialog box, select Accept in the Promiscuous Mode field.
BTW - when posting on the forum, add your pictures inline (click the Camera icon and simply paste your picture in the grey area of the dialogue that appears, or select the files.) This means you pictures are actually SEEN (a) in the email that gets sent to subscribers and (b) anyone who looks at this post in the future. Adding pictures as attachments... puts your submission into the TL;DR category.
I hope this helps.
