Hi folks,
How would I go about enabling broadcast traffic between a system living insideACI and one living outside of ACI (behind an l3out). Recently the company has purchased software controlled smart appliances and they live in our access environment, but the management machine lives in the data center (aci). I have created contracts between the two EPGs but it seems the broadcast traffic is being dropped seeing the controller can't find the smart appliances. Any help would be greatly appriciated.
thanks, kr.

Hi @Ibrahim010 ,
Are you trying to enable broadcasts between
- two BDs (as the title of the question suggests) , or
- a BD and an external L3 subnet (as the text "behind an l3out"
suggests?
If it is indeed (1) two BD, then you best bet is to merge the BDs - move all the subnets AND associated EPGs from one BD to the otehr.
If (2) you need to consider what kind of broadcasts - L2 or L3?
If L2 broadcasts are needed, don't even try.
Lf L3 broadcasts are required, the link @Flavio Miranda gave you should point you in the right direction.
Forum Tips: 1. Paste images inline - don't attach. 2. Always mark helpful and correct answers, it helps others find what they need.
