Using vzAny with Multisite orchestrator

Hi,

I am considering using the vzAny EPG to simplify some configurations and possibility save a little TCAM.

The goal is to use MSO for all EPG and contract definitions, but I can't find how to use vzAny from the MSO.

Running APIC 4.0 with MSO 2.0.

Streched bridge domains and EPGs over two sites/fabrics.

Hi @emorgan,

As of today, you can configure vzAny contracts only on the APIC.

Configuration support for vzAny contracts on MSO so those can be pushed to all sites is coming (tentatively Q1CY20).

Stay tuned to the release notes for when this feature becomes available in future versions

PS: You can also evaluate the use of Preferred groups to avoid having to use contracts between EPGs in Multi-site.

Preferred groups was introduced in 2.0(2) for MSO and 4.0(2) for APIC

vzAny in ACI Multi-Site is planned for APIC version 4.2(4) and MSO version 2.2(4) to be released in Q1CY20.

Thanks. What about VRF options such as policy enforcement - enabling or disabling?

Hi @rkiokoinfra 

There are no plans for the VRF option Policy Control Enforcement Preference (aka “VRF unenforced”) with Multi-Site.

The feature to be used instead is Preferred Groups or vzAny (once available) in Multi-Site Orchestrator.
