I have 2 content switches ..1 service should be for failover only on 1 switch and the other 2 services running on 1 switch but one more heavily weighted than the other. I need ensure that the backup service is only for failover. Checking the load i see that it is being used. Need help with configuration.

using weight, you want be able to achieve what you want.

You have to use the command 'primarysorryserver' under the content rule to configure your backup service.

So you should get something like :

owner DFDFG

content SFSDFDF

vip x.x.x.x

add service S1

add service S2

primarysorryserver S3

active

at the ny datacenter on the css that has the 2 servers that i need one server more heavily used (about a 5:7 ratio compared to the other) i can use weight--correct? but the nj datacenter that i have a server that i want to use primarily as backup to the 2 servers in ny--how will configure that? also how should i be setting up sticky on both the content rule and the dns-record for this situation?
