ACE FT Design

Hi,

We have 2 ACE modules on 2 6500 Catylyst swithces(those are not connected directly). To acieve FT design do we need to cross connect these 6500 swicthces? Both 6500 switches are uplinked to GW routers and those GWs are cross connected.

Just wondering with out Cross connecting 6500 switches , can we achieve FT for ACEs?

The 2 ACE modules must be L2 adjacent.

Af they aren't, trying to make HA is just a nonsense.

The Current CSM FT running on the design which explained above, We will be replacing CSM with ACE soon. SO we need to cross connect 6500 switches to achieve FT in ACE?

Not mandatory, if VLANs are extended through your GW routers, it will be ok.

If it works with CSM, it should work with ACE.
