ACE not load-balancing in round-robin pattern after server rebooted

Hi all,

I have a pair of redundant Cisco 4710 ACE loadbalancer for performing L4 connection load balancing with 2 servers. It worked fine and the connection got load-balanced well in round-robin pattern, but after rebooting one of the server, I see the load-balancing is not like the rebooted server only gets 2 connection while another server get 10 connection. It is not performing in round-robin algorithm. Is it normal?

I check the server status from ACE, it is in "INSERVICE" status.

Hi Beng,

This "might" be normal. take multiple show serverfarm detail output to show us the difference in the connection. If you have sticky configuration then this is expected behaviour because the sticky entry for the server which was not rebooted must be higher than then rebooted server. Also please share the show tech from the admin context so that we can see if there is anything else which can trigger this.

Hope this helps

Cheers
