ACE Performance Issues

Hi,

We have ACE module intergrated in cisco 6509 switch. We have performance issue for specific url while accessing through ACE, but it works normal when works with direct url.

The users are getting error at middle of works , " applications are unable to get  data ". We have configured http-cookie sticky like below,

The issues are not occured at any specific time.

sticky http-cookie ACE-Insert web-sticky

  cookie insert

  replicate sticky

  serverfarm webfarm

Note: We are using two rserver in serverfarm and enabled port-80 services.

Could you please suggest how can we locate/narrow down the root cause of the issues.

Hi,

The remaining configurations are basic and regular layer 3-4 class map and policy map only. Sorry I don't have configuration right now.,

What is exactly the problem? slowness?  how long it takes to load the website?

Did you try with sticky based on source-IP?

Is an ACE module or ACE appliance?

Please send me the rest of the configuration or a showtech if possible

Hi Cesar,

• Its not a slowness issues, the page is loaded as expected,but sometime ( middle of the work)  it is  not working properly and throws the application error message saying that the "application cannot get data from the server."

       No general error message except for the application specific is shown

• We tried source IP sticky as well , but no luck.

• I don't have full config now, but I observed that we have defined layer3 & 4 class map and used same VIP for three different port service, but in real we are using port 80 (www) only.

Do you think that the unused  VIP with service https and 8088 is disturbing the perofrmance of application ?
