Why the real servers can not ping the IP address of the ACE interface ?
(The real servers and ce ACE vlan interface are in the same IP subnet)
Note, from the ACE we can ping the real servers and the load balancing itself is running fine

After trying different configurations, I found the solution by myself.
For the ACE to respond to ping requests from the real servers, you need to configure a service-policy on the vlan interface allowing ICMP protocol (quite same as the service-policy for the remote management)
