I need to Know if its possible to configure a type of TCL script Probe in a Cisco ACe load balancer that will contact a back end server and execute a script(shell) , already locally configure in the server. this Server script will run and return back to the ACe a pass code or response to the ACE, this will be use by the load balancer to verify if the server is up or not.
is it supported or are the tcl Probe scipts only local to the ACE and cannot be configure to execute any external script on servers.

Hi,
TCL scripting is used for writing custom probes and ACE will execute the script or probe the server and if it gets the desired result, it will mark the server as passed. This is supported. But TCL scripts other than provided by Cisco are not supported by TAC and support is best effort.
